The COVID-19 vaccine has been ruled out as a contributing factor in the death of a Placer County man. The Placer County Sheriff's Office announced that after preliminary investigation, the vaccine did not play a role in his death, as previously speculated. A clinical examination and lab results now show the vaccine was not a cause of his death, but that he had underlying health conditions and symptoms before getting vaccinated. The investigation found that the man had been recently diagnosed with the virus in December, had previously diagnosed health issues and was showing symptoms of the virus when he received the vaccine. The 64-year-old, who was a health care worker, died several hours after getting the shot.
