The Sacramento Kings 12th overall pick in November's NBA draft Tyrese Haliburton, is being awarded Western Conference Rookie of the Month.
In Sacramento's opening 17 games, Haliburton averaged 11 points, 3 and 1/2 rebounds, and 5 and 1/2 assists per match. The rookie is contributing on defense as well, accounting for more-than one steal and nearly a block per game. Haliburton out shined other Western Conference rookies for the award, including 1st and 2nd overall picks Anthony Edwards playing in Minnesota and Golden State Warriors big man James Wiseman.
