Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is being stripped of her House committee assignments.
Democrats moved to remove the Georgia Republican from her posts because of past comments supporting conspiracy theories. Eleven Republicans joined Democrats in voting to remove Greene from the House Education and Labor Committee and the Budget Committee. Ahead of the vote, the freshman lawmaker said her past comments don't reflect her thoughts or values now.
She accused the news media of twisting her words and condemned what she called "cancel culture."
