The Biden administration wants the Affordable Care Act to remain the law of the land.
The administration is withdrawing support for challenges to the law, known as Obamacare, that are currently being heard by the Supreme Court. Last fall, Justices began hearing arguments over the constitutionality of the measure. In a letter filed this week, the Justice Department notified the high court the U.S. "no longer adheres to the conclusions in the previously filed brief." The Trump administration wanted the Supreme Court to strike down the entire health care law.
