Sacramento County is set to receive roughly $60 million from the federal government to help in its fight against COVID-19.
The funding will go towards COVID-19-related efforts such as testing, case investigation, contact tracing, surveillance, containment and mitigation. Jim Hunt, the county's interim director over the Department of Health Services says the money will become available on March 1 and expire July 2023.
