Alcohol To-Go Bill Introduced In State Senate

A state Senator from Napa aims to make to-go cocktails a permanent feature.

Senator Bill Dodd introduced legislation today allowing restaurants to continue the sale of booze on a to-go basis. Many restaurants already offer alcohol sales as a takeout option, as long as it's bundled with food orders. Dodd noted in a press release that 78% of eateries offering to-go alcohol rehired laid-off workers affected by the pandemic. The California Restaurant Association is a major supporter of the bill.
