A new advertising campaign featuring mothers urging Californians to get vaccinated against COVID-19 is being launched by the California Department of Public Health.
The new ad opens with a close-up shot of a mother speaking about being unable to hug her own mother since the pandemic began, and then is joined by other moms echoing the same sentiment. The message is that vaccines work, and that if we all do our part, we can put an end to the virus, according to spokesperson Martha Dominguez. She says the ads are necessary to help fight back against vaccine misinformation. The campaign will air ads in both English and Spanish in media markets through the middle of March, as well as online.
