An animal sanctuary barn went up in flames over the weekend, tragically killing every animal inside.
Cal Fire and the Placer County Sheriff's Office are investigating what caused the fire at The Enchanted Forest, an Exotic Animal Sanctuary in Newcastle. Owner of the facility Melyssa Descovich says the fire started early Saturday morning around 3:30 a.m. The sanctuary will be closed indefinitely.
