Sacramento City Councilman Eric Guerra is announcing his name will be on the ballot for state Senator.
With Senator Dr. Richard Pan reaching term limits in 2022, the Sixth District seat will be open. Senator Pan's district includes Sacramento, Elk Grove, West Sac, and other surrounding areas like Arden Arcade and North Highlands. Also running for the position is fellow Councilwoman Angelique Ashby.
