Fewer than half of California Republican voters are looking forward to getting the COVID-19 vaccines.
Only 445 said they already received or were "very likely" to get the shots. The survey, conducted by UC Berkeley, found registered Republican voters also were less concerned about contracting the virus and following public health and safety guidelines. In contrast, 68% of Democrats said there were very worried about getting COVID-19. California GOP strategist Mike Madrid says the survey highlights a "collapse of Republican support for science and evidence."
