Man Sentenced To 53 Years In Prison For Killing Ex's New Boyfriend

A man from Rio Linda has been sentenced to 53 years to life in prison for shooting his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend to death.

Joshua Imber shot the man in the driveway of the woman's home in September of 2017. Prior to the murder, Imber told his ex that he was contemplating suicide and made a comment about shooting her new boyfriend. A short time later, he drove to the home and fired seven shots at the man, striking him multiple times. Imber sped off, but was arrested the next day after fleeing to Tehama County. He was convicted this past November.
