A former U.S. Olympics women's gymnastics coach is dead just hours after being charged with human trafficking and sexual assault.
Michigan State Police say John Geddert took his own life and his body was found at a rest area Thursday afternoon. The one-time USA National Coach of the Year was charged with over 20 counts and faced decades in prison if convicted. He owned a gymnastics club in Michigan and worked closely with convicted sex offender and former Team USA doctor Larry Nassar. Michigan's Attorney General Dana Nessel called Geddert's death a "tragic end to a tragic story for everyone involved."
