Gov. Newsom Incentivizing California Public Schools To Reopen

Governor Gavin Newsom is incentivizing California public schools to reopen.

The governor teamed up with legislative leaders yesterday to announce the deal. It sets two-billion dollars aside for the schools that open this month. Schools in red tier counties must re-open elementary grades and one grade each in middle and high school. If schools reopen after March 31st, they will lose one-percent of funding per day.
