The Wilton Rancheria tribe is naming Elk Grove's new resort, the Sky River Casino.
The announcement was made yesterday during the groundbreaking ceremony on the Promenade Parkway near Highway 99, and construction is expected to be complete for a late 2022 grand opening. The resort may create around 3,500 jobs in the region, and the Wilton Rancheria tribe is pledging to invest $186 million in Elk Grove and surrounding regions.
