Sac County Receiving Fewest Vaccines By Population

Health officials in Sacramento say the county is not receiving its fair share of coronavirus vaccines.

While this week's nearly 20,000 dose supply of vaccines is the county's largest allotment so far, data shared at yesterday's Board of Supervisors meeting showed that Sacramento County is receiving fewer vaccines by population than any other county in the state. Sac County makes up almost 4% of the state's population, more-than-doubling the near 1.7% allocation of California's total COVID-19 vaccine supply.
