NCAA Women's Committee Calling For Tournament Investigation

The NCAA's committee on women's athletics is demanding an investigation into tournament amenity discrepancy.

The NCAA March Madness Tournament has come under fire recently for reportedly mistreating female athletes in regards to facility and equipment allocation in comparison to the male athletes. It's been reported that NCAA women's committee chair Suzette McQueen sent a letter to NCAA president Mark Emmert to express disappointment in the situation and demand an investigation take place.

Outrage for the difference in amenities for the men's and women's teams made it's way to social media, with coaches and players alike speaking up on the differential treatment.

The NCAA tournament has issued an apology since the outpouring of outrage online, and has since provided the women's teams with new equipment and facility space.
