Demonstrators came and went peacefully last night, during a planned protest outside the home of the Sacramento city manager.
So-called Sactivists criticized Sac City Manager Howard Chan in a social media post ahead of the protest, for mishandling the officer-involved shooting death of Stephon Clark in 2018. The Sacramento City Council, Sac Police and the Clark family all released statements condemning violence prior to Sunday evening's protest. On Twitter, the Sac Police Department confirmed a small group of demonstrators began the march, made the full loop by Chan's home, and left without major incidents and no arrests were made.
