Students in Sacramento are returning to in-person classes.
The Sacramento City Unified School District is inviting kids in E-K through 3rd grade to campus today, along with K through 6th Special Day Classes. Students in 4th through 6th grade are invited back April 15th, and 7th through 12th graders April 22nd. Parents and guardians will still have the choice to keep their students learning from home, virtually attending class concurrently with students physically on campus.
The news comes today after a steady progression of lockdown restrictions easing following CDC advisory and new tier removal announcements for the state of California from Governor Gavin Newsom. Governor Newsom announced that California will remove the tier system and look to open the economy up at full capacity by June 15.
