One site in Placer County is expanding vaccine eligibility ahead of the state's target expansion date, April 15th.
The Grounds site in Roseville is opening appointments to any county residents aged 16 years and older as soon as today, while the state prepares to make the same eligibility change on Thursday. Placer County health officials say nearly 2,000 appointments are available to book this week.
In most areas, vaccines are still reserved for those age 50 and older or those with underlying health conditions, and as of today Pfizer’s vaccine remains the only one approved for use on those below 18 years. Officials say residents should register online.
