One person is in custody after a manhunt following a car chase on Interstate 80. Roseville police attempted to pull over the suspect around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning near Harding and Douglas Boulevards. The suspect did not comply and proceeded to drive west bound onto Interstate 80. Police then said the suspect starting firing off shots towards the pursuing officers' cars. The suspect then got off the freeway on Riverside Avenue and crashed. The crash did not stop the suspect, who then got out of the car and started running. Thousands of local residents were told to shelter in place as the police tried to locate the suspect on foot. West bound I-80 was closed until about 6 a.m. Tuesday as part of the investigation. Then, around 6:30 a.m., police confirmed that the suspect was caught and in custody. The name or identity of the suspect has been released at this point.
