California has registered the lowest coronavirus case rate in the continental United States.
The state’s latest seven-day rate of new cases — 40.3 per 100,000 people — is dramatically lower than the nationwide rate of 135.3 and edged only by Hawaii, 39.1, over the same time period.
The highest reported case rate per state is currently still led by Michigan at 483 per 100,000 people. California's low case rates can be linked to the state's rapid roll out of vaccinations as of late and health mandates continue to be enforced.
