The man charged with murdering college student Kristin Smart 25-years ago is being investigated for other crimes. A new report in the Los Angeles Times says Paul Flores is the suspect in several sexual assaults in LA County. In one case from 14-years ago, a woman awoke next to Flores with no memory of how she got there. A Redondo Beach police rape investigation found Flores' DNA, but LA prosecutors declined to file charges. Prosecutors on California's central coast accuse Flores of killing Smart while trying to rape her. The San Luis Obispo District Attorney announced that discovery in the press conference following the arrest of Paul Flores and Ruben Flores for their involvement with Smart's disappearance. He is not able to be charged with rape in the Smart case, but the DA is asking the public for help in the new investigation into Paul Flores's other possible rape charges. His father, Ruben Flores, is accused of helping him hide Kristin Smart's body, which remains missing. Both men maintain their innocence but Ruben has posted bail and has since been released. Paul still remains in jail with no bail. Before Ruben posted bail, the DA's office also noted that they have significant evidence that Kristin's body was buried, at one time, under the deck at Ruben's Arroyo Grande home and has recently been moved.
