Sutter Health Park To Drop Covid-19 Restrictions Mid-June

Following the state guidance on fully reopening the state on June 15th, Sutter Health Park will be doing the same that same week. Officials with the Sacramento River Cats say on June 17th, they will expand to full capacity in the stadium and drop the social distancing protocols. The press release from the organization says that game on June 17th against the Salt Lake Bees will be the first game in over a year with large capacity seating options. The 14,000 capacity stadium only saw about 3,000 people for the first home game last week. The press release also says that those fully vaccinated do not have to wear a face covering while in the stadium, but it does not say how that will be enforced. The River Cats are the minor league feeder team for the San Francisco Giants, who have also announced full capacity in their stadium by June 25th.
