Governor Gavin Newsom is offering money and prizes to Californians who have gotten or are about to get their COVID-19 vaccine. The over $116-million plan is made up of gifts and lotteries. It starts with two-million gift cards good for $50 per person who have recently been vaccinated. Two cash lotteries will follow. On June 4th 15-people will win $50,000 each; another fifteen $50,000 winners will be chose on June 11th. Then on June 15th, all vaccinated Californians will be eligible to enter the 15-million dollar lottery. There will be ten winners of $1.5 million each. In Los Angeles on Thursday, the Governor said vaccinations dropped dramatically last week, which set in motion this incentive plan.
