Monday morning's commute along westbound highway 50 was severely backed up after several cars and a big rig was involved in a crash. Officials report the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. near Stockton Boulevard. Those involved in the crash include a private ambulance, a box truck and a few civilian cars. The Sacramento Fire Department reports that five people were sent to the hospital with minor injuries. There was no patient inside the ambulance at the time of the crash. KCRA 3 has the dashcam footage from a car near the accident. Traffic is currently back to regular flow.
