Starting on Monday, over 70 McDonald's locations in California will be set up as pop-up vaccination clinics as resources for employees, family members and community members to get vaccinated. As an incentive to get vaccinated, guests will get one free menu item during their vaccination. Certain locations will be carrying the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. No appointment or health insurance is required and walk-ups are welcome at all location. Some locations are able to book ahead with an appointment. McDonald’s vaccination sites are taking place in Los Angeles, Monterey, Orange, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano, Riverside and Yolo Counties. The pop-up sites were selected in partnership with the respective McDonald’s owner-operators to ensure they would reach high-traffic, high-visibility areas and increase vaccine access in some parts of the state that have experienced lower vaccination rates.
