The Elk Grove Unified School District announces the employee who displayed a Confederate flag inside a district van no longer works for them. It's not clear if the employee was fired or was told to resign. The district did say they are taking action against other employees who did not report the "intolerable behavior." A parent reported seeing the flag inside a district van in June when he was pulled up next to the employee while driving. After an investigation, the school district placed the involved employee on leave, which ultimately proved to be permanent.
