A former Sacramento King's star is returning to the sideline. Doug Christie has provided color commentary during game broadcasts since 2018. Monday, the Kings announcing Christie will join the coaching staff, something he says he's dreamed of since the end of his playing days. Christie was a defensive wizard, having made the NBA's all-defensive team four times with the Kings. He is the all-time Sacramento leader in steals and 2nd on that same list for the Toronto Raptors. The Sacramento squad could use some help on the defensive side, as only two NBA teams gave up more points than the Kings last season. Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed.
