Roseville residents must cut their water usage by 20%, starting August 9th. The city issued a Stage Two drought declaration due to concerns about water deliveries in the fall and winter. Landscape watering, which accounts for up to 60% of water use in the summer, will now be restricted to 3 days a week. Shut-off nozzles are now required for hand-washing cars, and residents must adjust lawn watering to 2 days a week starting September 1st. The city says enforcement actions for non-compliance will begin on August 15th.
