Two teen brothers have been arrested for the attempted murder of their mother and youngest brother. The two brothers, ages 13 and 16, were arrested following undisclosed events at a home in the Elverta area Monday afternoon. Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on scene after receiving a 911 call from one of the juveniles saying that he hurt his mother. CBS13 has the disturbing dispatch audio from the call....
Many of the details are not being released from the family or the Sheriff's office due to the nature of the event and the age of the suspects. There is no motive declared at this time and the mother and brother are in critical condition at nearby hospitals. Neighbors tell CBS 13 that the family was heavily involved in church and that the couple had 5 children in total. The neighbor also says the father and the daughter were not at the home at the time of the incident and that the oldest son is away at college. The dispatch audio describes the mother's injuries occurred to her neck and she was able to talk to dispatch operators briefly during the 911 call. Both of the boys involved face attempted homicide charges.
