The power is out for thousands of people around Northern California and a red flag warning is in effect until Tuesday due to high winds. PG&E began shutting off the juice early Monday morning amid dangerous fire weather conditions. The current outage map shows communities affected up and down the service territory. There are outages reported around Livermore, Fairfield and Vacaville. They then extend mostly along the west side of the Central Valley north to Glenn County, Red Bluff and Redding and south to Coalinga. Winds could reach 50 miles per hour this afternoon. A red flag warning is in place through Tuesday as the North state is crippled by extreme winds. The National Weather Service advises people watch out for downed trees in the roadway and even some hitting buildings and cars.
