A fire burning along the Delta in Isleton has destroyed 30 structures, with 20 more threatened, as the wind complicates the fire fight at the mobile home park. The River Delta Fire Protection District says the blaze is set to be contained by the end of the day Tuesday. Fire Chief Hugh Henderson says that the fire started around 4pm Monday in the Rancho Marina RV Park off Brannan Island Road and was 60% contained and has burned 55 acres as of Tuesday morning. Winds peaked around 35 miles per hour Monday at the time of the fire's start. No injuries have been reported and many homes were saved, even though about 150 people have been displaced. The cause of the fire has not been determined but the high winds were a major factor as to how devastating the fire has become. The winds are not expected to let up until Tuesday evening and a red flag warning is in place due to the critical fire weather.
