Two people are dead and five others are injured after a shooting at a party in Sacramento County. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to reports of a shooting at a party on the 5500 block of Palm Avenue early Saturday morning just before 1 a.m. Officials said there were hundreds of people in attendance. Three men were initially found with at least one gunshot wound. Two of them were pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital. Four others were also shot and taken to nearby hospitals in private vehicles. Those victims are in serious but stable condition.

Family members of one of the deceased victims is speaking to KCRA 3. According to the mother Pamela Welch, 32-year old Terrence Long was one of the victims killed. She tells KCRA that she hopes the suspects of the shooting come forward and bring justice to those affected.

"I'm just speechless, to be honest with you. It's just nonsense to me. I want the world to know who Terrence Long is. He was a good man; he was a good son; he loved his family; he loved people — that's who he is," Welch told KCRA 3.

The Sacramento County coroner has yet to confirm the identity of any of the victims. KCRA also spoke to people who attended the party, saying there was security and that the patted people down before entering the building. Officials with the Sheriff's office also says it is not clear how many suspects they are looking for because they are still investigating how many guns were present at the time of the shooting.
