New Year's Eve celebrations on the Old Sacramento Waterfront are again being cancelled due to COVID-19. For the second straight year, the City Of Sacramento called off the event, posting a statement Monday calling it a "difficult decision." The city says they are making the move on the advice of public health officials "due to the recent spread of the Omicron variant." The vendors and food, family entertainment, Kids Zone and fireworks show are off for this year.
