Thousands remain without power in El Dorado County, following the recent snowfall in the Sierra.
PG&E says that, as of Wednesday night, more than 48,000 customers are still in the dark. Many lost power Monday, and latest estimates from the utility company suggest power won't be restored until January 10th - two weeks later. PG&E officials blame road access and unprecedented damage for extended outages.
"We are doing everything we can, we have all hands on deck right now to try to restore the power safely and as quickly as possible." said Lynsey Paulo, a PG&E spokesperson.
