Sacramento State is temporarily moving the first two weeks of the upcoming semester to virtual learning amid rising covid cases. Most classes and labs starting January 24th through February 6th, 2022 will not take place in-person anymore, as previously scheduled. University President Robert Nelsen, addressing this change in a letter to students and faculty, says this is in an "effort to minimize the fear and potential danger as the daily rates spike." They are scheduling February 7th as the start date for in-person learning on campus in addition to online instruction.
Sac State along with the other CSU campuses and all the UC schools enacted a vaccine mandate for those participating in on-campus courses last fall.
