California State Assemblyman Republican Kevin Kiley has announced he's running for Congress.
Kiley announced via Twitter he is running to "fight Biden and Pelosi’s radical agenda." He also outlined in his announcement that his campaign will begin later than expected as districts are still being mapped out for the year.
Kiley says he will seek a new Eastern Sierra Nevada congressional seat. Kiley has been a state lawmaker since 2016 and was a candidate in the gubernatorial recall election. Kiley was one of dozens of candidates to try and unseat Newsom during the recall election last fall. He came in sixth, picking up 3.5% of the total vote.
