Placer County Sheriff Devon Bell announces he is planning to retire at the end of his term, cites medical complications with his back according to his Facebook post. Bell writes that after 30 years, he is going to start prioritizing his health and family after reflection with his doctors. Bell will finish out his current term but not seek re-election.
