The U.S. District Court Judge has handed down an 18-month sentence in a federal prison to 40-year-old Sherri Papini on Monday. Court documents show Papini continued with her fake abduction scheme by collecting more than $300,000 in disability income, assistance from the California Victim Compensation Board, and a GoFundMe campaign that was created for her. In addition to her prison time, she is also being ordered to pay over $300,000 in restitution. Security footage from the interrogation room obtained by KCRA shows the line of questioning from detectives that show the moments that Papini was caught in a lie and where she was confronted with evidence that she was not actually kidnapped.
