A student at Carmel Valley confronted the teacher who defended the lesson-- saying that while Hitler had done some bad things, he still had strong leadership qualities. Families contacted the school as well as the Anti-Defamation League about the issue. The San Dieguito Union High School District says the picture of Hitler has been removed from the classroom and the lesson is under review. The district says it plans to have a listening session with the Jewish community and provide anti-Semitism training for staff.
