Bringing a Taste of Burning Man to Sacramento

A new event coming to Sacramento this weekend is bringing a bit of Burning Man to Miller Park in Sacramento.

Ed Fletcher, President of Sacramento Valley Spark, tells KFBK that this event is inspired by the atmosphere and culture of Burning Man, though it isn't an official event. He says the art festival will

There will be art installations throughout Miller Park this Saturday, from 2 until 11. Fletcher says he wants to show people the culture and atmosphere surrounding the art that Burning Man inspires.

Fletcher says that people often have a bit of a misconception about what kind of people go to the desert each August...that it's not all Instagram models.

In addition to the art in the park, there will also be a series of free bike tours of public art in Sacramento.
