NBC fired Matt Lauer for sexual misconduct charges that stemmed from his stint as host of the 2014 Sochi Olympics. NBC confirmed the alleged behavior continued after the games.
The 59-year-old Lauer had hosted "Today" since 1998.
Just hours after the announcement about Lauer, Minnesota Public Radio said it was firing Garrison Keillor over allegations of inappropriate behavior. MPR said it was notified of the allegations while Keillor was responsible for the production of "A Prairie Home Companion."
The 75-year-old Keillor created "Prairie Home Companion" more than four decades ago, peaking at over four-million weekly radio listeners.
