Meet the delightful Amy! She is such a great dog and has been with us since December 26th.
Amy is just a big softy weighing in at 91 lbs. Just more to love! She actually came in tipping the scales at 108 lbs. With a diet and some exercise, she's working off that extra weight.
Amy is a very happy, super affectionate lady who likes to talk to you, loves to be with you, is a super cuddler (huge lap dog anyone?), and playful. She enjoys a game of fetch, walks nicely on leash and is just a joy to be around.
Her previous owner must have taught her to speak when you ask her to sit, because that is what she does. So cute! She's also quite the hugger. Volunteers think she would make a great therapy dog once she finds a home.
She likes other dogs at the shelter so if you have a dog at home, bring them down to meet this sweet lady. Cats are not quite her cup of tea and, because of her size, she might be a better fit with older kids.
