Swedish music producer Tim Bergling, better known for his stage name Avicii, has died. He was just 28 years old. Avicii is said to have died Friday afternoon in Muscat, Oman. The cause of his death is still not clear as of this publishing.
He retired from live performances in 2016 because of lingering health problems. Before his death, Avicii suffered from pancreatitis related to excessive drinking, and he previously had his gallbladder and appendix removed.
His representative describes the family as being devastated by the news. They asked for privacy as they grieve.
