The Shawn Thwaites Rebel Quartet, a new jazz group in Sacramento, are headlining a Benefit Concert for the Y.E.S. Orchestra at the Guild Theatre on May 19th.
The net proceeds from sponsorships, ticket sales and donations go directly to the Y.E.S. Orchestra, an all steel drum ensemble open for local youth. The goal is to eventually raise $30,000 to bring the Pan United Youth Movement (PUYM) after school music program to Will C. Wood Middle School.
The mission of the non-profit PUYM is to empower students with essential life skills through the power of musical education and performance.
