Friday Food: Solomon's Delicatessen

What started as an idea to bring a classic delicatessen experience to the Sacramento region by three organizers of the Jewish Food Faire - Jami Goldstene, Lydia Inghram, Sheila Wolfe - developed into Solomon's Delicatessen

With executive chef Aimal Formoli, Solomon's was officially launched and is now operated by The Golden Group. 

The Solomon's menu includes a variety of sandwiches named for people associated with Tower Records and its founder Russ Solomon, including "The Jami" (chopped liver, pickled onions and mustard on rye), "The Bud" (hot corned beef with mustard or Russian dressing on rye) and "The Lydia" (smoked sturgeon, horseradish cream and pickled onions on a salted bagel.

Andrea Lepore and Aimal Formoli joined Kitty to talk about the deli now open in Davis Commons shopping center.
