Exhibit Celebrates 100th Anniversary of Mather Field

posted by Kitty O'Neal -

This month, the City of Rancho Cordova is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Mather Field. Step back in time as the Mills Station Arts and Culture Center transforms into a free exhibit featuring historic photos and mementos from 100 years at Mather Field.

Explore uniforms, navigation tools, service patches, flags, yearbooks and more from the men and women who served our country at the air force base.

The exhibit will run from September 5th-8th and 13th-15th and feature special events including author talks, an evening of swing music, a reunion of those who served at Mather Air Force Base, and more.

The last commander of Mather Air Force Base Bob Martinelli was essential in organizing the exhibit.
