Dale Carlson, Ticket To Dream Foundation Helps Foster Youth

posted by Kitty O'Neal -

Listen below to the iHeartMedia interview with Dale Carlson about his passion to help foster youth.

The former owner of The Sleep Train tells us that on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018, Catta Verdera Country Club will transform into a place where taking flight is celebrated for Ticket to Dream’s 12th Annual Golf Classic event, which has raised over $6 million to date.

The themed event, encouraging costumes showcasing anything that flies, will raise  money for Ticket to Dream’s Take Flight program, which works to reduce homelessness for foster youth aging out of foster care. Current stats indicate that 1 in 5 foster youth will be homeless within one year of aging out of the foster care system.

Attendees will dress up as their favorite flying-themed costume while helping Ticket to Dream make difference in the lives of foster youth nationwide and the community by providing critical support for those who are aging out of  the system. The event features an eighteen-hole golf tournament, costume  contest, and silent and live dinner auctions.

The event is sold out, but you can donate on-line and bid on auction items.
