Gig Car Share, On-Demand, All-Electric Car Sharing Service in Sacramento

  • About 100 Gig vehicles began appearing on streets in Midtown, Downtown, and other Central City neighborhoods last month as part of a beta test.
  • Gig completed the final installment today and the fleet is now 260 all-electric Chevy Bolt’s fixed for roof racks for bikes
  • This makes Gig Sacramento the largest all-electric car sharing service in the country.
  • Gig is a service of 3A ventures, a innovation lab of AAA
  • You do not have to be a member to use a Gig, but AAA members get 10% of Gig rates
  • Gig's are rented by the mile, hour or day
  • Motorists can take a Gig anywhere in the U.S., they just need to pick and return the Gig to the Sacramento HomeZone, a 13-sq-mile area encompassing Downtown, Midtown, East Sac, parts of Land Park, Tahoe Park and other Central City Neighborhoods
