Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity Building New Veteran's Home in Dixon

Dixon Home

In the heart of Military Appreciation Month (May), a unique new home for veterans will take shape in Dixon thanks to Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity Chapter and 10 local Bank of America employee volunteers who will work on the project on Tuesday, May 21. The home is the nation's first Habitat for Humanity group home to permanently house six veterans, and will consist of six bedrooms and three bathrooms when complete.

Bank of America provided a $5,000 grant to the Habitat chapter affiliate, and the volunteer builders are all members of the bank's military employee network.

Kitty talked with Andrew Killeen, the Executive Director of the Solano-Napa Habitat chapter.
